With only five days left until Galaxy Unpacked, Samsung’s second-largest launch event of the year, more details about the devices to be introduced are emerging. At the event on July 10 in Paris, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Buds 3, and Galaxy Ring are expected to be unveiled. Now, the screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 has been revealed. Here are the details…
Galaxy Z Flip 6 screen may be IPS LCD
The prices of the new foldable phones Samsung will introduce were leaked in recent weeks, and it was claimed that they would be slightly more expensive than previous models. However, with the features of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 revealed today, it is said that this price increase might not be justified. Allegedly, the decrease in the quality of the cover screen of the Z Flip 6 will not be well received.
After the 1.9-inch external screen on the Z Flip 4 and 3 models, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 had a 3.4-inch screen. The Z Flip 6, expected to be introduced, will also use a 3.4-inch screen, but there may be a significant change. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will come with an IPS LCD panel instead of Super AMOLED.
In 2024, it is generally accepted that IPS screens should no longer be used and OLED panels are more practical. This is because OLED screens can turn off pixels to produce black, offering longer battery life.
According to the leaked full screen specifications, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will feature a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X internal screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 3.4-inch IPS external screen. It is expected to start at a price of $1,099.
